We’re back from Spring Break and since it’s Wednesday, we have a few writing prompts for you:
- Write from the point of view of an inanimate object. Sarah Kaye’s “The Toothbrush to the Bicycle Tire” is a sweet, witty love poem.
- Write an epistolary poem. For inspiration, read Michael Ryan’s “A Thank You Note.”
- Write from the point of view of a very young child (possibly a young version of yourself). We love James Merrill’s “Lost in Translation” and Elizabeth Bishop’s “In the Waiting Room.”
Happy writing, friends!
