June 1st and onward: First Friday evenings are free at the MFA.

June 6th: Jonathan Lethem with backup music.

June 9th: Pregame the pride parade with gay poets.

June 16th: Taste the localest of local beers.

June 18th: Go see The Great Gatsby film screening at the Harvard Film Archive.

June 27th: If you missed Nikky Finney’s awesome reading at Newhouse, there’s still hope for you

August 3rd: Free Friday (all day) at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Join us at the Davis museum to celebrate their new exhibit, Radcliffe Bailey’s Memory as Medicine. Come find us in the lobby; we’ll have plenty of Southern lit and ekphrastic poems to go around.

 

 

Open meeting for the Review

Our next Wellesley Review meeting will be this Sunday, February 12 from 7-8 PM in the Shafer living room. This is an open meeting for anyone who’s interested in  joining (or returning to) the editorial staff for the Spring 2012 issue. As always, there will be snacks. The new issue features poems by Amy Gerstler and Sherman Alexie; translations of Rilke, Aleixandre, and Sanguineti; essays by Elizabeth Kadetsky, Caryl Pagel, and Jonathan Wilson; fiction by Gabriel Brownstein and Helen DeWitt.
